Limited Warranty Terms

This is the standard Warranty between the Customer (approver/owner of project) and Signal Werks (the Company) for all services, contracts, and installations.  These terms may be updated occasionally to reflect legal requirements, Company policies, and industry standards.  All services and contract renewals are subject to the most current terms in effect on the date of approval of the contract or renewal.  




Standard Warranty

All products and services sold and installed by the Company carry a standard one-year warranty on systems, all parts, and all labor.  Some components may offer a longer warranty- it will be noted on the sales quote if applicable.  Should the manufacturer discontinue a required component, or a component becomes unavailable, a similar component from other sources may be substituted at the Company's sole decision.  All parts replaced under warranty become the sole property of the Company.


All warranties require the payment of all outstanding balances before warranty repairs can be scheduled.  Both parties agree that final balances are to be paid, without withholding, should minor issues be presented near completion of a project.  Warranty repairs or electronic/equipment services may be withheld or deactivated should payment be denied or late.



Software, Apps, Programs

All software is provided directly by the equipment manufacturers or 3rd parties.  We do not write or develop software, and cannot guarantee all software will work on all devices.  Computers and mobile devices routinely receive updates that may cause installed software to glitch or become unusable, or may require multiple updates to continue use.  The Company has no control of your mobile devices or computers.



Warranty Exclusions

All warranties assume service calls during normal business hours.  A standard service call will be scheduled at the first available time, Mon-Fri, during business hours.  If immediate emergency service, after hours service, or weekends are requested by the Customer- that service call may be invoiced at our current Emergency Rates.  All labor and travel rates will be explained in detail during scheduling to ensure complete transparency.

 

The lifetime of batteries, light bulbs, air/oil filters, and other expendable items depends upon usage, recharging frequency, and environment.  Expendable items are warranted 6 months from installation unless stated otherwise in the initial quote.


No other guarantee, implied warranty, or promise of function is provided beyond these terms.  Limits of reimbursement include actual repair or replacement of failed components or systems, at the Company's sole decision.

 

No warranty- shall cover any the following:

·        Abuse or damage by the Customer or others outside of the Company’s control.

·        Lack of proper maintenance by the Customer.

·        Any wiring and equipment that was not fully installed by the Company.

·        Lightning strikes, power surges, or other electric utility failures or storm related events.

·        Water/liquid damage to electronics not intended for outdoor/wet areas.

·        Lack of typical air circulation, heating, or cooling for indoor listed equipment.

·        Components or alterations by others.

·        Cellular signal level (if applicable)- many alarm systems use cellular phone towers for connection.  Signal levels may change depending on neighborhood development.


Some equipment requires highspeed internet for functionality.  Lowering the internet speed package may cause functionality issues.  If the system requires internet it is the Customer's responsibility to ensure the recommended speed and service level are provided.



These terms supersede and override any other verbal and written agreements, terms, and contracts.
